As many as six tornadoes struck the Metroplex, with several others spotted near Campbell, Cumby, Lone Oak, Pickton, Royse City, Sulphur Springs and Quinlan. An EF-4 is said to have struck the City of Forney and in Rockwall County.
Hundreds of flights were cancelled Wednesday out of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. As of Wednesday afternoon, Oncor had restored power to a majority of customers, with reports indicated that as little as a few hundred people were still in the dark.
