A search warrant was executed by the Commerce/University joint SWAT with the aid of Hopkins County/Sulphur Springs SWAT Wednesday afternoon.
Commerce Police Chief Kerry Crews tells KETR that Commerce Police received enough evidence of drugs being sold out of the residence, located at 2104 Washington Street, to get a search warrant, and asked Hopkins County to assist in the execution of the warrant. Crews also says that one man was arrested at the residence and was taken into custody. The name of the suspect has not been released, but he is expected to be charged with the manufacture or delivery of more the 4 grams but less than 200 grams of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
Washington Street was blocked off from Maple Street to Moore Street during the search.
