The weekend's over, and so are the cloudless days. Rain is expected to move back in this week.
UPDATE Monday 10:13 AM: As of Monday morning, the slight risk for severe storms has been extended in to the Metroplex area. Storms should develop anytime after 4 PM.
The National Weather Service is expecting for the rain to return for this week for parts of North Texas. Some areas may even experience severe thunderstorms.
While Monday may seem sunny to some people, the forecast calls for a 30% chance of thunderstorms Monday night, some of which could be severe. According to the Storm Prediction Center, parts of Northeast Texas have a slight risk for severe thunderstorms on Monday with the main threat being large hail and damaging winds.
There is another chance for more widespread thunderstorms on Tuesday, some of which may be severe.
As for the rest of the week, showers are expected Wednesday with the sun coming out for Thursday and into the weekend.
