Hunt County – An investigation continues into an alleged organized crime conspiracy in southern Hunt County. One suspect said to have been involved in the conspiracy alongside former West Tawakoni Mayor William Stausing is still at large. Another individual has been arrested and remains in custody. Charges against Stausing were issued in January alleging he was a participant in a criminal conspiracy across Hunt and three additional counties involving fraud and the trafficking of illegal narcotics.
