Vampire Hunter unbelievable, yet enjoyable. Just "turn off your brain"

Theatrical release

Local movie critic Alice Reese admits she had trouble suspending her disbelief of Abraham Lincoln as a vampire slayer. But despite its crazy plot, she gives it three stars.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is based on a book where Lincoln embarks on a mission to kill vampires and their slave-owning helpers after his mother is killed by a supernatural creature.

Alice also discusses Disney's Brave and Seeking a friend for the end of the World, starring Steve Carell, who has yet again been cast as a loveable loser.

Alice Reese previews movies weekly for the Greenville and Rockwall Herald-Banner and volunteers her time each Friday morning at 7:20 a.m. on KETR.
