A young boy was killed Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle near Caddo Mills.
The accident was reported at around 5:30 PM Friday. Personnel from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, the Caddo Mills Fire Department, and emergency medical units were dispatched to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on FM 36 South. The Texas Department of Public Safety later confirmed that it was a fatality accident. Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks says an 8 year old boy was reported to have run across the highway chasing his dog, and was struck by a pickup at the location. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
