Veterans honored in Delta County

The Cooper High School National Honor Society hosted a Veteran’s Day Program on Monday morning to a full house of Veterans, students and the community as well as an afternoon event on the lawn at the Delta County Courthouse with American Legion Red Henderson Post 483 placing a wreath at the monument for the Veterans including a moving address by Past Commander John Cleveland.

The special address at the school was given by Judy Silman. I’m Proud to Be An American and You’re A Grand Old Flag were said by the Cooper Elementary led by Mrs. Judy Thompson. Amazing Grace was Cooper High School students Alana Elliott, Micalyn Rowe along with her father Michael Rowe. Post Commander Gary Thompson gave a tribute on POW’s/MIA’s. Playing TAPS was Rebecca Ruzicka.
