On March 30, John Quinones, a correspondent for ABC News and host of the network’s reality program “What Would You Do?” visited Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Quinones’ message was one of the importance of speaking up in the face of wrongdoing, bullying, and tyranny. Before he addressed a gathering of students and staff in the Sam Rayburn Student Center, I got the chance to chat with Quinones. We talked about why it’s important to speak up, the role of journalism giving voice not to the movers and shakers, but to the moved and shaken, and why, though it’s so important to speak up, it’s equally important to just not listen to anyone who says you can’t follow your dreams.

You can listen to my conversation with John Quinones by clicking the audio link.
