Voting numbers approaching record highs

By Brad Kellar

Hunt County – Large numbers of people are still voting early in Hunt County. All time voting records are in line to be broken following Tuesday's General Election, as county residents continue to take advantage of early voting. More than 1,100 early votes were tallied Tuesday, for a total of 8,973 so far. The figures represent 18% of registered voters, and are good for second place all-time for early voting totals in Hunt County. Early voting continues now through Friday at the Hunt County Voter Administration Office in Downtown Greenville from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Crossroads Mall in Greenville will serve as a mobile early voting station today from 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
