In addition to a second team all-Lone Star Conference honor, senior Devondrick Walker was also named to the academic all-LSC team at Tuesday's LSC Awards Banquet.
It is the second straight year for Walker to be an academic all-conference choice, who carries a 3.46 GPA in Sport & Rec. Management. The senior from Garland also earned an all-LSC second team nod at the awards banquet, the first all-conference selection of his career.
He currently averages 14.1 points per game, leads the LSC in free throw percentage (.910) and ranks in the top five in three-point percentage (.442).
To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must have reached sophomore status and carry at least a 3.30 grade point average.
The All-Academic Team is selected from the list of academically qualified players, with the league's sports information directors voting on the basis of both academic and athletic achievement.
