By Scott Harvey

Commerce – Commerce Police are reporting the arrest of a local man wanted on charges out of Fannin County.

The 23-year-old suspect from Grayson County was wanted for a motion to revoke probation felony warrant for injury to a child. The unidentified subject was spotted in Commerce earlier in the week at a car wash along Live Oak Street.

Upon seeing the officers, the man ran off and a foot pursuit ensued through Commerce Streets, ending when the suspect entered a store at Live Oak and Washington Street and was taken into custody.

The man was arrested on charges of evading arrest and the outstanding warrant out of The Fannin County Sheriff's Office. He was transported to the Commerce Police Department where he was booked in and was awaiting transport to the Hunt County Jail as of Friday night.
