Welcoming session scheduled for new superintendent

Apr 9, 2012

SULPHUR SPRINGS - The Sulphur Springs ISD Board will introduce incoming superintendent Michael Lamb during a public forum as part of Monday's regular agenda.

Lamb has worked in central administration at Forney ISD since 2008. He was one of dozens of applicants seeking the vacancy left by retiring Superintendent Patsy Bolton, who has spent a total of 43 years with the district. Lamb’s career in education began as a math instructor 16 years ago.

The Sulphur Springs board can officially hire Lamb April 23, after the state required 21-day waiting period.

Monday's meeting begins at 6 p.m. at 631  Connally Street.
