West Tawakoni – A south Hunt County man has been sentenced to federal prison. Thomas Eric Edmonson of West Tawakoni was one of two men who entered guilty pleas in August of last year in connection to the distribution of methamphetamine in East Texas. On Wednesday, Edmonson was sentenced to six years in federal prison. An ongoing investigation into the case began in January 2003 and resulted in numerous undercover purchases and seizures of both drugs and guns.
