West Tawakoni saga resumes Monday

By Brad Kellar

West Tawakoni – A judge decides Monday whether to issue an injunction against the major of West Tawakoni, preventing him from firing the city's police chief.

Earlier this month, State District Judge Joe Leonard issued a temporary restraining order Mayor Pete Yoho.

If a temporary injunction is issued, any action in the matter will be prevented until a full trial can be set.

Chief Jack Schultz was suspended and a police officer fired in October, amid allegations it was due to their allegiance to the Tea Party movement. Legal action was also sought to remove City Councilwoman Carol Solomon, who has since countersued.
