Wills Point – A Wills Point man is in custody on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a shooting on November 3rd. 42 year old William Kyle Jennings was arrested after allegedly shooting 44 year old Daren Ursey with a .410 shotgun. Ursey was taken by helicopter to Parkland Hospital with a gunshot wound in his left thigh and pellet wounds in his right thigh. He was later released.
Statements from the scene indicate Jennings had been calling the victim and his nephew for several hours before the shooting. No further motive has been determined.
