Winnsboro coach Steve Pinnell is closing in on 100 career wins. But chances are, he’s less concerned with that milestone and more concerned with the fact that his Red Raiders will have no offensive starters returning from last year’s district-champion team. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football picked Winnsboro to finish second in District 7-2A Division I.
A pair of seniors could carry on the winning tradition - quarterback Sheyan Thompson and linebacker David Santoy. As for the underclassmen, last year’s junior varsity finished 7-2, so some young talent could help the Red Raiders overcome losing 20 of 28 varsity lettermen.
