Wolfe City Wolves: 2013 football preview

Coach Travis Smith and the Wolves will look to make another improvement in a program that has gotten better every season since a 2-8 record in 2010. As an area finalist with a 6-6 record last year, the 22 returning lettermen hope to continue the improvement that has been a mark of Wolfe City High School over the past three seasons.

This year's squad returns a slew of offensive talent, including the returning rushing leader and pre-season offensive MVP of the district, Justin Wilkinson. However, Justin is not the only weapon the rest of the district will have to worry about, as running back Darrel Wooten and wide receiver Malik Gaffney, who combined for 8 TDs a piece, will also return to the line-up. While the highest expectations will be placed on the offensive side of the ball, don't be surprised to see many of the offensive starters turn around and dominate on defense as well.
