Collin County – 38-year-old Shannon Coyel has been charged with perjury for claiming she was dragged and sexually assaulted by a prominent Northeast Texas attorney.
She'll appear before a Collin County Court at Law judge on December 15.
Coyel's allegations led to the Red River County indictments and arrests of Mark Lesher, his wife Rhonda and Robert "Red" McCarver last year. All three were found not guilty. The Leshers have also filed a malicious prosecution civil suit against Coyel.
