A “Meals on Wheels” volunteer is responsible for saving a woman from a two-alarm house fire in Tyler Tuesday.
Authorities say Mark Kempf entered the burning home and rescued a wheelchair-bound woman identified as Sylvia Parker. Kempf was delivering when he noticed smoke coming from the home. He saved Parker and then called 911. The fire is still under investigation.
