Though Texas A&M University-Commerce's women's golf team performed well today, they couldn't quite keep pace with their effort on Monday, dropping from third to finish fifth out of eight teams in the 2015 Lions Classic.

Ali Leasor paced the Lions with a two-day score of 158, finishing 13th overall. Celeste Emeott and Emily Taylor were just one stroke behind, carding 159s to finish tied for 14th overall. Zoey Daneshfar scored a 168 to finish tied for 26th, and Katy Goen finished 29th with a score of 169. Leasor had four birdies, and Emeott and Taylor each had two.

Midwestern State, with an overall score of 607, has now won two invitationals in a row after winning their own Midwestern State Invite last week. Newman finished second with a score of 615. In third was Rogers State, who leap-frogged two spots with a score of 630. Arkansas-Fort Smith finished fourth in their own tournament with a score of 635, and A&M-Commerce finished fifth at 640. East Central, Texas A&M-International and Northwestern Oklahoma State rounded out the leaderboard.

The Lions' next invite is scheduled for April 3 & 4 at the West Region Desert Shootout, hosted by Western New Mexico at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
