Wooten suspended from judge's post

By Scott Harvey

McKinney – Last week a Collin County Judge was indicted on bribery charges. Now she has been suspended with pay. State District Judge Suzanne Wooten gave up her duties late Monday.

Her attorney, Pete Schulte, says the indictment is purely political and he expects her to be exonerated.

Wooten is accused of receiving donations in exchange for favorable rulings.

On Monday, over 30 attorneys showed up to the Collin County Courtroom as a show of support for Wooten.
