Greenville – The Greenville City Council this week hired an engineering firm for creation of the new Monty Stratton Parkway.
The project is expected to ease traffic congestion and open up access between Interstate 30 and both the local campus of Paris Junior College and Greenville High School.
In August, the council voted to sell $5.9 million in bonds to pay for both improvements to Traders Road and the construction of the Monty Stratton Parkway.
