Bonham – The Bonham City Council has hired an Irving firm as the contractor for its new City Hall.
The $1.1 million agreement will allow for an 11,000 square foot facility, located at the corner of 6th and Chestnut Street. The police department will be expanded into the existing location.
The new building will be more efficient, have better security, and a larger council chamber to allow for more residents who wish to be present at meetings.
Work on the project could begin by the end of the month.
