Work soon scheduled on cleanup of<BR>contaminated site in Greenville

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Work is soon scheduled on a cleanup of a contaminated site in Northeast Greenville. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) still intends to begin cleaning up contaminated soil this summer in and around the former ESCO manufacturing plant in the Ardis Heights area. The EPA also wants to take more soil samples in the region. Earlier this year, the EPA announced it was considering adding the ESCO facility as well as dozens of nearby locations in and near Ardis Heights to the Superfund Clean-Up list.
