Amy Davault and Jordan Neal continue to add to their list of accolades and honors after the 2013 season. Davault and Neal earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mentions as announced by the association today.

Lion volleyball adds three during early signing period

Texas A&M University-Commerce head volleyball coach Craig Case announced Monday morning three additions to the Lion volleyball program. Kaitlyn IngleLacie Jessup and Shantel Norton have signed letters of intent during the early signing period and will join the volleyball program next summer.

Lions drop thriller to WT in LSC semis

In the second semifinal of the Lone Star Conference Tournament, West Texas A&M and Texas A&M University-Commerce played a thrilling five set affair for a spot in the championship match on Saturday afternoon. The Lions were unable to end their nine match-losing streak to the Lady Buffs.

A&M-Commerce was just the second team all season to push the Lady Buffs to a fifth set. The Lions won the first set 25-21, dropped the second set by the same score, won the third 27-25, dropped the fourth 25-19 and came up just two points short in set five, 15-13.

Lions to face TexAnns in LSC Tournament

The Lions and TexAnns will face each other for the third time this season in the First Round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament in the four versus five match-up. The winner gets a shot at the number one seed and host, West Texas A&M.

Spicer earns LSC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honor

Texas A&M University-Commerce volleyball added another player of the week honor this week with libero Michaela Spicer earning Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

This week marks the second straight week in which a Lion has earned a player of the week honor.

Texas A&M University-Commerce closes out the 2013 regular season with a pair of home matches against Eastern New Mexico and sixth-ranked West Texas A&M. The Lions enter the weekend as one of the hottest teams in the Lone Star Conference, winning four-straight matches and seven of their last eight and currently sit fourth in the LSC standings.

Balanced attack keys Lions' four set win over TexAnns

Texas A&M University-Commerce used a balanced offensive attack to avenge an earlier loss to Tarleton State at the Field House. The Lions had five players with double digit digs, led by Michaela Spicer with 24. The offense featured five different players with 10 plus kills, led by Ezon Onditi with 15.

Snyder and Neal earn LSC Weekly Honors

Senior setter Jordan Neal and junior outside hitter Breanne Snyder earned Lone Star Conference Co-Setter and Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Neal shares the setter honor with Marija Jovanovic of Midwestern State University and Snyder shares the offensive honor with Arielle Bond of Angelo State University.

A&M-Commerce chosen fifth in volleyball preseason poll

The Lone Star Conference has released its preseason volleyball poll  for the 2013 season, announced today by the league office.

The Lone Star Conference has chosen three players to receive preseason honors, and one of those players was from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
