A&M-Commerce celebrates women's basketball

Hundreds gathered to honor the record setting season of the Texas A&M University-Commerce women's basketball team. Texas A&M University-Commerce President Dr. Keith McFarland congratulated the Lions women's basketball team for their record-setting season. The 2006-2007 team was the first in school history to reach the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

Roger Kellaway on The Art of Sound

Pianist and composer just starts the list of talents of Roger Kellaway, who will be visiting with Mark Chapman and Bruce Tater on KETR's The Art of Sound Thursday evening, April 26th.

Roger Kellaway began classical piano lessons at the age of 7. Later he studied composition at the New England Conservatory.

Texas A&M University-Commerce President Dr. Keith McFarland and University Police Chief Donna Spinato met with local media following the shootings at Virginia Tech.

Commerce, TX – Texas A&M University-Commerce President Dr. McFarland said safety of students is his highest priority, considering parents send their most valuable possessions, their children, to the university.

A&M-Commerce Spring Convocation

11th District Congressman Mike Conaway of Midland, a 1970 graduate of then East Texas State, presented the Spring Convocation address at Texas A&M University-Commerce on Monday, April 2. You can hear the entire ceremony here.

40 years ago, the 1967 Spring Semester was when a graduate from Odessa-Permian High School started attending what was then East Texas State University. Now a Congressman from Midland serving the Permian Basin and the rest of the 36 counties in the 11th District, Mike Conaway is the first A&M-Commerce alumnus to serve in Congress since Sam Rayburn.
