This year’s 2015 Chiggerfest event is bigger and better than ever with surprises around every corner of the Square – mechanical bull rides, antique tractor pull, wine tasting, dunking booth, cake walk, unique fried treats and more!

It was another evening of brain storming on the part of Delta County Chamber of Commerce Directors Monday night.

“What in the world is Chiggerfest?” That inquiry spurred a barrage of possibilities.

The countdown has begun to the Delta County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Chiggerfest event to be held on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Delta County Chamber of Commerce has 100 days to turn this event around and make it as great as it has been in previous years.

A nice crowd helped chase the chiggers out of Delta County for the  21st Annual Chiggerfest this past Saturday. The day-long event began with the Chigger mascot and Chigger "in training" being chased out of town for the start of the 5K/2 mile run.

Chiggerfest is just around the corner. The day's schedule for Saturday, October 18 is listed below. The Mighty Marching Cooper ISD Band will be performing at 8:30 a.m. on the Square in front of the City Hall in Cooper. Next at 9 a.m. will be opening ceremonies, National Anthem and awards for the 5K Run/Walk. Then lots of good music the rest of the day.
