Greenville running back Carandal Hale is one of 50 Texas A&M University-Commerce football recruits announced Wednesday.  Hale set the all-time Greenville record with 379 yards rushing on 12 carries against Royse City last season.  Another recruit is Bonham tight end Corey Smallwood.  Buffalo, Texas, lineman Cole Cleveland, son of Commerce High School head coach and one-time Lion QB Jeff Cleveland, is one of the new recruits.

Texas A&M University-Commerce head football coach Colby Carthel says among the 44 high-school recruits signed Wednesday, are 6-foot-7-inch, 318 pound Lane Hasse of Weimar and 6-foot-10-inch, 298 pound Nathaniel Young of Lake Jackson, both offensive linemen.  Carthel says the team was aiming to build its depth in the offensive line.  The Lions added two quarterbacks, 6-foot-3-inch, 22o pound Geo McCollister of John Tyler and 6-foot-2-inch, 180 pound Preston Wheeler of Au

Friday marks an exciting cap to what has been a memorable 2013 season for the A&M-Commerce football team as the Lions will be playing in their first bowl game since the 1958 Tangerine Bowl. Here is all the information fans need to plan to cheer on the Lions this weekend as A&M-Commerce participates in the inaugural Live United Texarkana Bowl.
