With the recent hurricanes in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, attention has been focused on emergency care. Kim Saenz, the director of the Hunt Regional Emergency Centers in Commerce and Quinlan, says Hunt Regional conducts regular Hazardous Vulnerability Assessments, or emergency drills, to prepare for likely emergency situations that would hit the area.  The results of the drills are evaluated for their effectiveness. 

While large-scale natural disasters bring out the good in some, the FBI is warning those who want to help to be wary of where they’re giving their money.

A recent survey shows the state of Texas close to the national average in a measurement of preparedness for responding to an emergency.  Kim Saenz, the director of the Hunt Regional Emergency Centers in Commerce and Quinlan, says they recently conducted a drill to prepare for a possible disaster in the area.
