The Cooper Clean-Up Crew started with their first project on Saturday, February 25 with the help of 39 volunteers. Everyone convened on the Square in Cooper to fire up the power washers, cleaning curbs and sidewalks, raking leaves and pulling up weeds.

According to Cooper Clean-Up Crew organizer Carmen Chessher crews of volunteers worked from the Square extending out to clean up debris.

Two seminars held by the City of Sulphur Springs not only highlighted “how to grow business” but also the importance of customer service.

If you are going to sell illegal narcotics, advertising it on Facebook is probably not the smartest move, because you never know who may be checking on your profile.

Three people learned that lesson the hard way Tuesday, after they were arrested by local law enforcement.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said a special operation was conducted by the Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit Tuesday afternoon, which resulted in the arrest of three individuals who were each charged with delivery of a dangerous drug.
