Hunt County Jail

According to the Delta County Sheriff’s office a Burleson man was arrested on two counts of indecency with a child. Billy Dee Bennett is being held on warrants at the Hunt County Jail, also on related charges from that area.

Herald-Banner and Commerce Journal editor Caleb Slinkard discusses recent developments, including Jack Gray, long-time public relations man with Texas A&M University-Commerce and Hunt Regional Healthcare, being named interim manager of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.  Also, Hunt County has reached a settlement of more than $3 million in its long-running lawsuit over construction flaws in the County Jail building.

A former Quinlan resident, on the run for more than seven years on a felony DWI warrant, has been returned to local custody.

Billy Don Braziel had apparently been living under an assumed name in Henderson County.

Braziel, 66, has a criminal record dating back more than four decades and had previously been convicted of murder.

Braziel had been held in the Ellis County Jail after being arrested in February in Palmer, but was returned to the Hunt County Jail Tuesday, where he is being held without bond.
