A&M-Commerce to Stage Student Plays for Canned Goods

A Texas A&M University-Commerce Theatre class will host a student organized production of 5 plays in the upcoming weeks. “5 Shades of Red” are five 10 minute plays written by the theatre class as a part of a charity event to receive donations for the Commerce Food Pantry.

Around this time of year, the American Cancer Society aims to get smokers across the US to participate in what is known as Great American Smokeout day.  It is a day in which smokers make the decision to quit, or use this day to make a plan to stop smoking for good.  The American Cancer Society has support all over the nation, especially in the Northeast Texas region.

The Cooper High School National Honor Society hosted a Veteran’s Day Program on Monday morning to a full house of Veterans, students and the community as well as an afternoon event on the lawn at the Delta County Courthouse with American Legion Red Henderson Post 483 placing a wreath at the monument for the Veterans including a moving address by Past Commander John Cleveland.
