AUSTIN - A coalition of more than 150 school districts has sued the state of Texas over a school funding system they say is unfair, inefficient and unconstitutional.
The coalition represents more than one in 10 Texas districts, including several local districts like Bonham, Commerce, Greenville and Paris.
BONHAM - The Bonham ISD is the recipient of a 50,000 grant to enhance energy use. The district this week approved a resolution authorizing an agreement into the Energy Efficiency Grants and Technical Assistance Program.

Randal Douglas Smith is currently free on bond. He’s pleaded not guilty to the shooting of Gregory Poteet, who was found dead inside a pickup truck along CR 2632 in September, 2009.
Smith was originally reported to have told investigators that Poteet committed suicide. But authorities would later find evidence they believe links Smith to the murder.
