Area man charged in chase

Michael D. May, of McKinney, remains in custody for evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

A Collin County man has been charged in connection with Wednesday’s chase between Greenville and McKinney, which resulted in one person being shot.

Michael D. May, 38, of McKinney remained in custody in the Hunt County Detention Center Thursday, in lieu of a total of $100,000 bond.

May was charged with one count each of evading arrest/detention with a motor vehicle and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, involving the chase which began in Greenville Wednesday afternoon.
