Hopkins County manufacturer to close plant in May

SULPHUR SPRINGS - Approximately 55 jobs will be phased out over the next few months as part of cuts planned at Morningsstar Foods in Sulphur Springs.

The company has announced they will close their Cultured Specialties plant located at 500 Jackson Street. Production is expected to end by May 24.

The company also operates a larger extended-shelf-life plant located at 300 E. Industrial Blvd in Sulphur Springs, which is not affected by this change.
