MCKINNEY - With the persistent heat and increasingly dry conditions, Northeast Texas may be in for another round of burn bans.
For the first time in more than a month, parts of Texas are back under exceptional drought. That's according to the latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor.
The last zero reading for exceptional drought in Texas was late March 2011. Until Thursday, according to the weekly U.S. Drought Monitor map.
