BONHAM - The Bonham Fire Department will continue to serve the emergency medical service needs of Fannin County citizens after striking a three year deal.
Fannin County Judge Spanky Carter and Bonham Mayor Roy Floyd signed the agreement Thursday. KXII-TV reports the agreement means the department will avoid layoffs. The agreement takes effect immediately.
The two sides faced a similar struggle to work out a deal last summer before signing a one year agreement.
